JOB
DESCRIPTION:

1.            Manage and supervise Urine Drug Screen laboratory—2%

2.            Assist in the development and validation of new method for panels of drugs applying scientific principles of LCMSMS including calibration, limit of quantitation, limit of detection, accuracy, instrument and method precision, analyte recovery, enzyme activity, stability and inter-lab comparison required for a clinical setting—2%

3.            Monitor  and revise the standard operating procedure as necessary, data analysis and training documents by analyzing the data derived from the laboratory research as approved by the Laboratory Director.—1%

4.            Perform urine drug screen (UDS) using immunoassay. —3%

5.            Confirmatory drug testing including quantitative and qualitative analysis of various therapeutic, pain management and illicit drugs using LC/MS/MS analysis software.—3%

6.            Prepare calibration and quality control stocks and verify.—5%

7.            Responsible for LC/MS/MS daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and troubleshooting—10%

8.            Perform all proficiency testing and report results as required.—5%

9.            Document the daily log file of patients reported, quality controls and monthly review of the Levy-Jennings graph.—10%

10.          Review patient data analysis report for acceptance or repreparation
recommendation—10%

11.          Review the patient report for positive and negative results followed by confirmation results and approving the complete report as well as determine the samples to be repeated, keeping track of calibrators and daily quality controls, and entering the drug results for LC/MS/MS —40%

12.          Provide customer support regarding the final results posted for urine drug screen and confirmatory results.—3%

13.          Maintain HIPAA requirements at all times.—2%

14.          Ensure adherence to all State and Federal laws, guidelines and regulations including compliance with CLIA and COLA regulations—2%

15.          Performs other duties as directed –2%

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Requires Master of Science or in related field+48 months of experience in Laboratory Scientist, technologist or related field+ Clinical Chemist
Scientist (CLS) or Clinical Lab Scientist license
